We have a lot of snow and very large cornices.

2nd April 2015

Great snow cover of snow which unfortunately goes hand in hand with the presence of very large cornices over most very steep lee slopes. It’s easy to unwittingly wander out onto an massive unsupported snowy cantilever with realising how much jeopardy you’re in. Best avoid the scarp slopes they overhang too since run-outs will be very long.

Superb weather today and some great views during our perambulation into the Moy Corrie.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Some lovely conditions yesterday and given the overnight conditions a probable day of action.
