Still very little snow even in higher sheltered locations – puddles at 900m!
(Above) This feature on the Cairn Liath ‘plateau’ we refer to in our snow profiles as Sharks Gultch. A handy little notch, which more often than not is chocked with snow and can give a good representative sampling site for various aspects above 900m in our area.
Our stability indicator technician still learning her craft, at this stage more interested in puddles than snow - a happy coincidence!
