Miserable. Part 7.

19th February 2016

If SAIS ‘Johnny-Come-Lately’ Torridon wants a game of bad weather ‘Top Trumps’ then we’re up for it.!

Rainfall? Pah!

Prints(Above) Very quiet indeed today. Deserted car park and only mountain hare tracks on the Coire Ardair path. Fresh snowfall at 400m.

(Above) Drifting on the path at 550m (….take note Torridon!)

(Above) Full on winter at 600m.

(Above) The lochan at the end of the Coire Ardair path. Crags obscured by spindrift.

Pump(Above) The Inner Coire of Coire Ardair below ‘Pumpkin’ (left of centre). Spindrift avalanches widespread across these NE facing crags at this time. The expected rise in temperature hadn’t materialised at this point (approx 1pm) but I did get rained on on the lower part of the path on the return journey about a hour later (oh, joy!).
