Wading through Snow!
22nd December 2016
It was a cold windy day with frequent snow showers. The snow has accumulated in sheltered places but is soft and unconsolidated meaning that I was regularly up to my knees and occasionally sinking in to mid thigh.
Stormy weather for tomorrow but a brief warming followed by colder weather should help consolidate the snowpack.

The mountain bikers didn’t get too far before abandoning their bikes and walking.
