Lean Pickings

4th January 2017

(Above) Coire Ardair Lochan ~ The ribbon of Raeburn’s Gully & Pinnacle Buttress (centre).

The lines of the main Post Face from a distance not as bad looking perhaps as expected – given the lean conditions.

Half way up Easy Gully ~ the watercourse lines of Last Post (left), then South Post, Centre Post  and the cleft (almost completely devoid of snow) of North Post

(Above) Last Post, South Post & Centre Post

Up close & personal – the ice not really in very good condition, lean & mean. Some further melt freeze build ups badly needed before any quality results

Inner Coire Ardair – The Window

Firm conditions underfoot – on what snow there is!
