Nice – but with cloudy tops

24th March 2017

I took a walk over to the Western end of our patch today – moist and soft snow away from the beaten path. A very definite spring air – if not in the step!

Beinn a Chaorainn, East Ridge (the scrambly one!)

The Moy wall snaking down (crest of ridge) to Loch Laggan on Creag Meagaidh’s long southern approaches.

Still some snow lying in sheltered, drifted locations down to around 400m – at these elevations however it would be an optimistic outing for any prospective ski tourer !
