Fair to start…

3rd April 2017

It was a fair enough sort of a day to start; mild and dry with some cloud and a fresh breeze on the summits. The forecasted rain showers then spoiled it all and  started to come through early afternoon, just as I was coming of the hill – a few photos below…..

(Above) Some walkers getting out and about on the trails today, before the afternoon showers – here making their way into Coire Ardair (Coire a Chriochairein in view)

(Above) The clouds  capping the tops for much of the day. The Post Face looking pretty bare and from what I could see between the clouds for the most part cornice free – although still some remnants in the inner Coire, towards the Window

(Above) The end of season cornice remnants still  above the coire backwall of Coire a Chriochairein

(Above) Some rain showers appearing over Loch Laggan towards early-afternoon. Expect a few more of these with even a wee bit of light snow on summits as the temps fluctuate over the next period – little overall change however is expected.
