Misty

30th December 2017

(Above) The broad gully we call Lifa Gully runs beneath a series of minor crags in Coire Chriochairein.  Misty for most of the day with late snow showers turning to sleety rain at lower altitudes by early afternoon. Snow cover remains thin here but was beginning to develop on north aspects above 900m later.

(Above) Looking into the upper reaches of Coire Ardair with Lochan a Choire prominent. A few walkers were out for a stroll along the path today.

(Above) The main Coire Ardair path had a thin covering of compressed snow today. Was a wee bit slithery in places but will improve as the thaw becomes established at lower altitudes.
