Very Windy on tops

(Above) Good cover (if a bit moist & soft) above 500m. This the access track into Ben a Chaorainn, at the Western edge of our patch

(Above) The popular East ridge of Ben a Chaorainn.

(Above) Some large and very drooping cornices around the top of the coire rims. A straight line navigation between Ben a Chaorainn’s summits fraught with such hazards.

(Above) Bealach a Bharnish. The col on the Western flank of Creag Meagaidh. Observations today searching for some high Northerly aspects on the other side of this. The South East tail wind of some assistance on the ascent – but with no hiding place at the top very windy!
