No cheer for winter sports!

25th December 2018

(Above) The path into Coire Ardair this morning – not overly inviting! The clag hung about in the valley for most of the day.

(Above) Coire Ardair appearing above the mist. Lean! Truth be told it looked better from afar than it did up close…..

(Above) Opening ramp of Staghorn Gully – amok with freewater!

(Above) Easy Gully – a wet quarry…

(Above) Lower sections of Easy gully – ice still in place on ‘Last Post’ although all surfaces running with water /waterfalls.

(Above) Looking back down towards Lochan a Coire of Coire Ardair from Easy Gully. It was clear on the tops for much of the day on the Cairn Liath side of range.

I’m afraid it’s not looking much better for tomorrow – Hmmmm!
