Ooops!

6th February 2019

……schoolboy error today!! On the hill with camera and no battery.

Below a couple of snaps from my phone (which then died as well!)

(Above) Eastern end of the Creag Meagaidh range today. Effective snowline after last nights melt now around 600m. This looking back in the direction of Spey Dam,  as I made my ascent on skis on a breakable crust into Coire a Beinn – hmmmm!

(Above) The Beast in the ‘East’ …… Breakable crust didn’t seem to affect 4 legs – some new slab is now overlying the thin crust – with the layers both above and below it showing poor stability.
