(Above) Carn na Gaim, 941m (Left on skyline) in the Drumochter Hills. Variable snow conditions around at the moment; the recent high winds have scoured many open hillsides and left a complex distribution of windblown snow, firm sintered snow and icy sections – all on similar aspects. In high selected sheltered, lee locations poorly bonded layers underlie recent localised deposits, particularly on Westerly aspects
