(Above) The East Ridge of Beinn a Chaorainn illuminated by unbroken sunshine today. Cold surface temperatures in persistently shaded areas but much milder in the sun. A beautiful day to be in the mountains.
(Above) A 500m cornice line extends around the arc of the coire south of Beinn a Chaorainn’s summit. Large cornices remain in place above a few of our eastern aspects at the moment.
