Pretty but light

16th December 2022

(Above) Access onto the Meagaidh range today from the Eastern end, beyond Spey Dam, towards Coire Dubh. Once again skis just about useable for egress. We¬† have a weather station ‘planted’ at this end of the range, this year. Great for data ( when it works – the windspeed gauge obviously not liking the recent temperatures) Hence my visit this way today, to give it a ‘poke’

(Above) Weaknesses in the new accumulations with reactive blocks breaking away between my skis, where any significant depths of new snow encountered.
