(Above) Access onto the Meagaidh range today from the Eastern end, beyond Spey Dam, towards Coire Dubh. Once again skis just about useable for egress. We have a weather station ‘planted’ at this end of the range, this year. Great for data ( when it works – the windspeed gauge obviously not liking the recent temperatures) Hence my visit this way today, to give it a ‘poke’

(Above) Weaknesses in the new accumulations with reactive blocks breaking away between my skis, where any significant depths of new snow encountered.
