First thing it was dull, cloudy and damp. The day improved during the later morning with bright spells.

(Above) Looking west across the Spey reservoir to Stob Coire Dubh and Carn Dubh at the Eastern end of the Creag Meagaidh massif, before the day improved.

(Above) Coire a’ Bhein (North facing) to the NE of Stob Coire Dubh and pt.903m. The coire rim is around 850m.

(Above) Looking East from Carn Dubh down the Upper Spey towards the Cairngorms, after the day had brightened.
